Visitation pastoral care ministers have participated in a 40-hour national training in order to serve the needs of the parish community. They listen and provide a caring presence to those in need, especially those who face the deaths of loved ones or loss of health.
These ministers participate in training in order to serve and bring the Eucharist to those members of the community who are sick at home or in nursing homes.
The Helping Hands Ministry provides parishioners the opportunity to help other parishioners in time of need by cooking a meal. This ministry is open to anyone but might appeal especially to empty nesters, early retirees, the newly single - and all those who are at ease preparing a meal. This ministry is a wonderful way to make the compassion and care of Christ visible in the work of human hands - and provide a meal to someone in need. Coordinated by Celeste Greenlee. If you are interested in lending a helping hand, please contact Celeste at 695-7115 or staff liaison Chris Sanders.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is co-sponsored by Visitation Pastoral Care and the Women of Visitation to make and provide shawls to parishioners faciing difficulties or loss of any kind.
To get involved in any of our Pastoral Care ministries, please contact Chris Sanders at 753-5155 x1309 or chris@church.visitation.org.
