Visitation Fine Arts Society
Visitation Fine Arts Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to extending the hospitality of Visitation Church to the wider community as an architecturally and acoustically unique venue for today's finest performances of sacred music. The Society will host a variety of instrumental and vocal soloists and ensembles, drawing talent from the Midwest, the United States and abroad.

In 2004, historic Visitation Church was artfully and faithfully expanded in Spanish Colonial style and re-dedicated, providing an inspiring setting in which to hear magnificent music. Olivier Latry, organist at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, Paris, performed a recital on the church’s newly installed, 2,500-pipe organ shortly after the re-dedication. Since then, the church has hosted a number of well-received musical performances by professional and amateur artists ranging from chamber ensembles and soloists to multiple choirs and orchestra.

Venue Visitation has been organized independent from the parish and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. It is our goal to attract and present the highest quality performers, to cultivate financial support for the making of sacred art, and to develop a widening circle of audience participants and patrons from throughout the metropolitan area – and beyond – to enjoy the singular comfort and exhilaration that only live performances of music can bring.
